Bible / Personal ruled lines refills you print yourself

Generate a ruled lines refill cut to Bible / Personal — 95 x 171 mm, 6-hole. At the default 7 mm pitch one sheet holds 24 rules. Plain horizontal rules and nothing else — a sheet built for writing sentences. You can download the sheet at its true size for duplex printing, or as an A4 page carrying 3 copies with cut lines, so an ordinary home printer is all you need.

Bible / Personal: sheet size and hole pattern

A Bible / Personal sheet is 95 x 171 mm with 6 punched holes. Centre-to-centre spacing runs 19-19-70-19-19 mm from the top, so the run of holes spans 146 mm and sits centred on the sheet, and each centre is about 9 mm in from the binding edge with a 6 mm punch. This is the most widely stocked binder size, so it is the easiest one to mix refills for. These are the widely quoted nominal figures — real binders vary between manufacturers, so treat the printed hole guides as a reference and either punch through an existing refill or let a six-hole punch set the positions.

How the ruled lines layout is used

Plain horizontal rules and nothing else — a sheet built for writing sentences. For prose notes, minutes and diaries. Choose 6, 7 or 8 mm spacing. Rule colour can be black, grey, light blue or pink and the line weight is adjustable, so the ruling stays out of the way if you draft in pencil and ink over it. Dated layouts take a year and month, and public holidays are deliberately left off: they differ by country and by year, so writing in the ones that matter to you is more reliable than trusting a generated calendar.

Print 3 up on A4

A 95 x 171 mm sheet will not feed reliably through a home printer, so the tool also builds an A4 sheet with 3 refills laid out on it, complete with cut lines and hole guides. Trim with a craft knife and a steel rule, then punch. The one setting that matters is scaling: choose "Actual size" or 100%, because the usual default of "Fit to page" shrinks the sheet by a few millimetres and throws the hole spacing off.

Paper weight, and why nothing is uploaded

Commercial refills are usually 70-80 gsm. Ordinary copier paper at 64-68 gsm binds fine but ghosts badly with fountain-pen ink, so pick 80 gsm or heavier if you write on both sides. One more thing worth knowing: the PDF is assembled inside your browser. The dates you type and the file you download never reach a server, and there is no upload step at all.

Frequently asked questions

How do I check that my binder really takes Bible / Personal sheets?

Pull one refill out and measure it. If it is around 95 x 171 mm with 6 holes, it is Bible / Personal. Sheets of the same outer size can still have different hole spacing, so also check the gap between the first and second hole — about 19 mm on Bible / Personal.

What line spacing should I use?

Japanese notebooks use 7 mm (A-ruled) or 6 mm (B-ruled); wide-ruled US paper is closer to 8.7 mm. Use 6 mm on the smaller sheets and 7-8 mm where there is room.

The printed sheet came out slightly small

That is "Fit to page" scaling. Pick "Actual size" or 100% in the print dialog. Printing the downloaded PDF from a PDF viewer is more reliable than printing from the browser preview.

Is anything uploaded?

No. The PDF is assembled by JavaScript running in your browser and saved straight to your device. No dates, no settings and no file ever reach a server, so it is safe to use for work calendars.
